Hi Everyone!! My name is Kaitlin Temple and I am the Scholars Edge Operator in Cochrane and NW Calgary, AB for 2021.
A bit about me: I am a second-year student studying at the University of Victoria and I am in the business program. I grew up in Cochrane, AB and that is where my family lives. Growing up I loved to get involved in the community. I Played Ringette and Softball in Cochrane for years and now I coach the younger kids in both these sports. In high school, I was in the leadership program, the band program, and I was on the blood drive committee. I spend a lot of my time with my dog, Luke, and my cat, Pilot. I love being outdoors, especially in the mountains where I can ski and hike depending on the weather. I am super excited to be operating my painting business this summer and I am looking forward to challenging myself, growing as a person, and gaining life experience that will benefit me my whole life.
Somethings that I have already learnt from this experience:
- Cold calling is a numbers game. Some days will be great and others will be horrible but the trick is to keep going out and trying again consistently.
- Listen to the advice people give you no matter how small because they are telling it to you for a reason.
- Hard work pays off. Just because one week goes poorly doesn’t mean you are doing bad. Keep trying your best and things will work out.
I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences here with you over the course of the summer!
